Six months ago, on June 19th, AppTudes launched with a week-long “swag-a-thon.” We never expected to get the support we did for the whole giveaway thing, but from readers and publishers the flood never stopped. To just have a day of contests would, at this point, not be terribly unique for AppTudes.
But what about a day with TONS of promo codes from all the biggest game (and app) names on the App Store? Well, that’s our thanks to you, and our way of stuffing your stocking with goodies. remember, codes from slams need to be used right away, but those won in regular contests are transferable if redeemed quickly, so happy holidays from AppTudes to YOU!
Here’s how today will go down.
We have our regular comment or tweet contests that are ending today and tomorrow already live on the site. We will be posting no less than 12 times today with other hot games you can win – the latest end date is Thursday December 22, so you have time to grab those last minutes gifts for you or a friend.

We will also be having a ton of CODESLAMS. If you haven’t participated in one with AppTudes yet here is how they work. We will give a shootout on Twitter and Facebook (so be sure to follow and like us so you don’t miss any of the amazing apps and games we are giving away every hour all day). We will give a time frame, usually once an hour, via social networks to let you know the game has begun. Sometimes before the time runs out, our sneaky little Tudey Bird mascot will swoop in on his flightless iBird wings and hide codes right in the body of this post (or whatever post has a slam attached) The first person to spot it and redeem it in iTunes wins!
If you want to catch all the action on twitter search search #ATAP, but the best way to win and to show us you want more giveaways like this is to come over to the its, and comment. We want to know you have fun with these so we can bring you more special days in 2012.

AppTudes will be running at a regular pace for the rest of the week and then, like the App Store itself, we will go on break for until the New Year. To all our readers, writers, friends and fans we wish you Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanzaa, Holiday Cheer and all the best luck, especially here, in 2012!
