Boys and girls alike will love the new game from Serendipity. Happi Full Throttle (iPad only) is a game that brings the driving experience to a new level. Using the gyroscope and camera, this game allows children to drive four different vehicles on paths they make for themselves.

Children can choose from a fire truck, police helicopter, sports car, and even a submarine. Children can see the vehicle’s dashboard, but when they look out through the front window, they’ll see whatever the camera is viewing in front of them.

The Happi Full Throttle dashboard has different buttons and levers which can be tapped to create multiple effects. On the fire truck and police helicopter, children can press a button to make the sirens and lights start. The submarine offers bubbles, sonar and a periscope. And what sports car is complete without a stereo and horn?

Each of the vehicles has some type of steering wheel which can be moved by tilting the iPad. Ignition is also part of all but the submarine. My girls loved turning the wipers on and hearing the sirens. We took our vehicles on a ride in the living room, outside in the yard and also in the truck while we were driving. For smaller hands, I found that it was easier to take the iPad out of the case since they kept closing the back of it and covering the camera.

I loved how Happi Full Throttle incorporated real life with the camera. This allowed my girls to really take some time and think of different places they wanted to ‘drive’. A simple helicopter flight in the sky turned into a giggle fest as they flew it through the trees and on top of our house. The main menu has a rocking soundtrack that the kids like. I found them a few times going back to the main menu just to dance around to it.
